All In The Presentation

OK...Let's really talk y'all. The Internet much like trips to the grocery store, mall and etc can be very intriguing and deceiving. The main object in this category are the women.

Lets be honest with ourselves. A really pretty girl "dressed down" will be easily overshadowed by a barely decent girl "dressed up" All about packaging. See if its all about the first impression then you can easily make the unlikely pair happen off of one good showing. I know I have truly been fooled at sometimes. Let me be the first to say that Any woman can get Any man just off the merit of a very strong presentation. Worst case scenario its a date, number exchange and then never called again....but still....they had you

TCOMM THUGGIN

There is currently a worldwide disease affect the minds of people of all ages races and creeds across America. Even reading it I become slightly affected by it.

Its called TCOMM THUGGIN

Dont you hate to see all the woofing, beefing and threats sent on comments blogs and and websites? If so your mind has been properly quarantined and you may feel certain side effects but have no serious trauma do to the disease

Now if you love nothing better than to engage in the "10ft TALK" that you see on myspace, youtube, thisis50.com....then I can only hope a couple things
1. That you are truly everything you say you are and some
2. That you see the foolishness of your ways and actions and get help immediately

I feel that if the Internet was just one building and you KNEW your chances of seeing a person thats always poppin off at the mouth were a mere 1 in 11 chance....I seriously doubt you would have the issue

As I like to say..
"Your Heart pump slushie, its Kool-Aid in your veins and you Shit sugar!"

LMAO!

Father vs. Husband

So I am having a conversation with a very close friend of mine and we get on the topic of marriage and kids and all that. I was telling them how I think Im more prepared to be a father than a husband. I honestly am really excited at the possibly of being a father one day...However I dont see myself being a husband any time soon

So of course laughter ensues but they did agree that not everybody is ready or built for marriage for that matter and that they were sure some females would be down for that if you came correct about the situation...then I laughed! LMAO!

Dont get it wrong...I would like to have all my children by the same woman. Cause lord knows what kind of "Dad" my "Father" was...but I dont want to get real old by the time I make up my mind on officially jumping the broom and trying to have kids in my late 30's or 40's

So let me know something. How do you feel about this topic?

44TH

So today is honestly one of the biggest day in American History. Whether you are black or white or other you have to admit that you never thought you see this day and that it wont be anything this big for a long time. Obama has officially put himself in the same class as

Jackie Robinson
Ray Robinson
Muhammad Ali
Michael Jackson
Wilt Chamberlain
Tiger Woods
The first Black to play Hockey and Quarter Back (Was that Warren Moon????)

These are all people that regardless of color changed the game and society's view. Many people are worried about assassination attempts...but I beg to differ....

See the best thing for any extremist to do would be let him live and "mess up the country" like they think he will so that we "dont let another nigger in the white house" Besides black is killing more black than police.

As I woke up this morning and seen the footage of all the people rallying and standing outside in anticipation for today's event Im thinking do we only have 4-8 years of this? When Obama leaves the white house will that STOP all the unity and positivity and rallying behind one individual for the greater good? Be real...we should have this attitude no matter who is in office, but I am glad to see that change happening with just the idea of our president being on color.

Dont get it twisted...Im not all for JUST black presidents...Im down to see a Native American, Asian and a Hispanic one. Lets rally behind them too! Because like it or not minorities built this whole country that Christopher Columbus stumbled on centuries ago and WE ALL have made it better with our differences.

Let's keep this new feeling of hope and change going. Take it to school, work, board meetings, community service EVERYWHERE! Since we have a reason to believe in a president...lets start believing in ourselves and each other.

The Album

Well! let's just be honest and not smokescreen the situation...I and many other local and mainstream artist ARE NOT SELLING!!! Sad but true. The site...sometimes its 300 hits and sometimes its 74...So what do you do when that happens???

You realize that you need a better foundation for your fan base before you invest so much money in yourself. 2008 was a great year of progression for us. However I dont have enough fire under my name for my album to have an impact. So the new goal is music last. Im going to be giving out free material...still hot just no price.

Im going to do things I should have BEEN done like pay off bills and boost my credit score, try to get my living and my loving right. May even go get my masters. Either way it officially the year of the grown man. Because a grown man knows how to prioritize and still achieve success.

Friday Night at AMC

So last night I go see Notorious (SURPRISE SURPRISE RIGHT) and I must say that I was really impressed by the overall movie. In my opinion I think it was VERY accurate and thats based on what was in the media vs. what the conspiracy made you believe.

Real talk I do see why Kim was upset about this movie but at the same time..I really couldnt see it being different. I remember years ago reading about her and her insecurities so I can see how she can be in that situation.

Most importantly they showed BIG doing good and doing bad which is really telling you how real his music was. Now he may not go down in history as the greatest rapper alive...but its no doubt in my mind he is one of MY personal favorites and he is a true icon to the game with on about 4 years mainstream and 2 albums.

Yea I was a lil hurt during the shooting scene. To reflect on that for a sec I was 15 years old and was walking home from church then got the news and to be real...thats all I remember about that day.

Question of The Year!!!

Ok so everybody got they opinion on "WHO KILLED HIP-HOP?" AND "IS HIP-HOP DEAD?" So let me give my one and only analysis and attention to this issue...so here goes

Do you think ghostwriting killed hip-hop?

Seriously think about it....There are people literally with NO TALENT sitting on millions that cant rap a lick...Cant freestyle, write songs or perform...and they have the average "music fan" fooled! If you only listen to what you hear on the radio which is mostly garbage then...you probably think some WEAK DUDES is nice.

We can name names...but answer my question first

Emcee Love

WHAT IT BE!?!?!

For the time being THIS IS THE HOME of the SHOOH BLOG on grownmanmusic.com. Long story short I don't know how to do it on my personal site and I know blogspot is real popular so I decided to hop on this joint and bring y'all what I always bring myself and my mind in all its glory.

Lets talk Emcee love. I dont have a problem with saying another artist male, female, black white or other is tight, hot, decent whatever phrase you use. I do feel however I dont get that same acknowledgement or respect in return. What I personally HATE! Is when I exchange CD's with another artist or we check out tracks and I come back and be like..."Yo I was diggin that CD that you gave me. You got a nice sound" Then they hit me back with "Thanks jo...We go hard!" or whatever they want to reply back with to boost that ego and they dont even acknowledge my body of work AT ALL!

Off top I know somebody reading like..."Well nigga, maybe ya shit aint hot!" NO CLOWN! That definitely isnt the issue. Check my projects and features...I'M NICE! Even ya homey know it. I think it deals with this chip that the whole industry signed or unsigned underground or overground has on they shoulder. Let me be the first to say I dont feel inferior for telling somebody that they put out good music. It serves as a motivational tool for me....So let me know Do you show Emcee Love?

You dont have to be an artist to answer this either...Artist need fans
